Mexican Revo

We had a scavenger hunt and fun time to dress up. Celebrating Mexico's Revolution!

Let Go

Well it was that time when my family and friends had to go back home. I found out Olivia is staying home until January... so this means I get to teach the class. This time is good for her and I since now she gets to be home and have precious time with her family and I have time to be the boss, make decisions for the class and bring more of my ideas out. I am super stoked to see how this all works out and I know I will be praying a lot. Praying for strength, courage, patience, wisdom and joy that only can come from You God. I am amazed and forget so easily that this is Your plan. This is where I am suppose to be and I need to just let go and not try to control it too much. You saw all of this happening and know I can do it! Funny... I started off here thinking I was just gonna help where needed. Then I found out I was made a teachers assistant, and then moved to a different class and helped as a team with Olivia teaching. Now, teaching alone, as a young one I am learning so much. Really that I need to have confidence, boldness and not be timid to share my feelings and dreams. Just because I am young doesn't mean I shouldn't share my ideas and thoughts. Its gonna be wild, crazy and awesome. I am so thankful You never leave me and never stop loving!

But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly of my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may rest upon me.

Joy rises in my soul

Well Olivia left for Thanksgiving with her family this morning... in Oregon. Which leaves me to step up and teach the class for the few days shes not here. I am so excited and motivated to teach . Yesterday we had some issues in class, another fight. BUT today is a new day. I am learning to be a lot more strict and discipline when needed not just sit back and let things happen. So this is new and im learning so much.  Also my family is visiting from California! I am super excited to be with them.

God You knew I'd be teaching alone this week. You knew Olivia would be leaving and I know that You believe I can handle this. So I will step up with Your love in my head and heart swirling round. You, my Teacher will guide me! I am so thankful I have help and You... the One who created us all and every circumstance is in control and holds us. Full of Your Presence. Bring on the day.

Theres no place I'd rather be, but here in Your love.

Wow I guess it has been a while...

Well let me just start by saying how excited I am that my friend from home, Rachel, is now living in Mexico also working at Ninos De Baja like 10 mins away from where I live! Last Thursday her, Katie a dorm mom here at Rancho Sordo Mudo, Dory and I got to go out for tacos. Katie and I were planning on going to a worshp night with the Ventanas, which is a program down here that's like a disciple/missions/college program and we brought Rachel along also! It ended up being a super awesome night of worship and discussion. A couple who are missionaries down here Sean and Tricia Cates were there and just started talking about how God led them together and their relationship with Him and with each other and the trust in it all... it was sweet.

Also the Joshua (BIG) group, of around 70 people is here from Hume Lake until Saturday. They are here helping serve, they split up into groups and are doing different work projects for the ranch. Such a big blessing! They are all energetic and a fun group of young ones my age and some a little older. Two of my friends from back home and church are in the program so I get to see them both! I gotta say seeing people I know is a bit strange... I dont really know how to react. I mean of course im stoked to see them but its strange not being able to hang out and sit down and chat its strange that I am working and see them a few times only.  Anyways its a blessing having them her, i love having more people to talk to.

What else has been happening.?? hmm Oh! I got punched in class yesterday! That wasn't too fun... we all learned from that though and moved on. Some days are more difficult than others.

God is reminding me daily that even if I could sign completely clear to the kids with no problems and make a ton of rules in class I still can not control the kids. I cannot change them, I cannot change their hearts or minds. I need to give it all up to God. He can. He will make them understand and change. Nothing I do. If they understand its only because of God and His love. So please be praying that they will see. That they're eyes are opened and they have a passion for Him.

Your Name

"At Your Name the mountains shake and crumble. At Your Name angels will bow the earth will rejoice.

Lord of all the earth
We shout Your name, shout Your name
Filling up the skies
With endless praise, endless praise
Yahweh, Yahweh
We love to shout Your name, oh Lord"

As a class ,on Wednesday, we hiked a little past snoopy here at Rancho Sordo Mudo. It was The Day of the Dead and was celebrated all throughout Mexico... but as a Christian School we don't celebrate it like the Mexicans do. We did taught about it and about what the culture does but it is definitely different and not such a wonderful holiday. BUT we did hike and eat sugar bread that looked like bones, which was fun! Here are some pictures from our adventure.

Then this morning (Friday) at 545 I woke up to go on a morning hike with Olivia and Micaela. It was totally dark when I walked out my door... i saw stars in the sky. So we went up the hill... and it got windy and felt amazing. We sat up on a rock and walked around exploring a bit, then sat again on a giant rock and read a little from the bible. It was very very peaceful. I know Olivia loves hiking and i am starting to also.  The sun came up and we walked back down just in time for breakfast! Awesome start to the day.
